Music inspired by the major feature film “I Am What I Am”

“The Kitty Knight” composed and performed by Yang Bao in collaboration with Beijing Splendid Culture & Entertainment Company is dedicated to the major feature film “I Am What I Am.” The film tells the story of the growth of three left-behind teenagers who were bullied and turned from kids to winners at a lion dance competition. The first track "The Lowest Bunk" is based on the lowest point of the young man’s journey in the big city. The last lion dance under the neon lights at night is almost a farewell ceremony to his dreams. This dreamy and melancholic dance music uses rapidly repeating notes, implying that time goes by like a ray of light, awaiting all possibilities to happen. The second track "The Kitty Knight" took place when the teenager regained his dream and worked hard for his dream. The innocent and unrestrained melody, accompanied by a brisk pace, depicts the young man’s journey from a "kitten" to a "lion" with passion and enthusiasm. At the same time, he brings the little hero's nostalgia for his hometown.

贺岁档电影《雄狮少年》钢琴幻想曲

鲍杨作曲和演奏的原创钢琴幻想曲《小猫骑士》，由北京精彩邀约合作，为2021年贺岁档电影《雄狮少年》而创作。该片讲述了留守少年阿娟和好友阿猫、阿狗在退役狮王咸鱼强的培训下参加舞狮比赛，经过重重磨砺，从病猫变成雄狮的成长故事。单曲集的第一首单曲《The Lowest Bunk》取材于阿娟在大城市打拼的最低点。夜晚霓虹灯下的最后一次舞狮，几乎是他对梦想的告别仪式。这首梦幻忧郁的舞曲使用快速重复的音符，寓意时间如白驹过隙一般，一切都有可能发生。第二首《小猫骑士》，发生在少年重拾梦想的时刻。天真奔放的旋律，伴随着轻快的节奏，用激情和热忱描绘了少年从“小猫”到“雄狮”的历程，以及小主人公对家乡的怀念。
